You know God has called you to ministry. You’ve seen the need for God’s truth in the online world. But you aren’t sure how to build a ministry that will make a kingdom impact online. Sound familiar?
Building an online ministry is a highly effective way to walk in your calling. Online ministries can be accessed easily any day and at any time, they have worldwide reach, and they can be built and run from your phone or laptop.
Online ministries are powerful tools that provide encouragement, teach truth, and point people to God in their time of need. There’s never been a bigger need or a better time to start or grow an online ministry!
So, if you’ve ever wondered:
How do I start an online ministry?
How do I grow an online ministry?
Or how can I improve my online ministry?
Then you are in the right place!
Below, I am sharing some of my top must-have tools for an online ministry. They can be used to help you take the next steps in starting an online ministry or teach you how to grow an online ministry you already founded. These tools will help you do the kingdom work God has called you to do!
These programs have helped me tremendously in growing my own online ministry. And I know they will help your ministry as well!
Online ministries can benefit from this program as it checks typed text for spelling or grammatical errors. Grammarly can scan just about anything, including emails, documents, and even social media posts.
Grammarly can help your ministry by giving readability scores, offering suggestions to improve the text, and even revealing how your text will sound to those reading it. It runs on Chrome, Microsoft Office, Windows, and even a smartphone when using the convenient keyboard app.
It’s a must-have tool to ensure your ministry doesn’t lose any credibility over simple, easily avoidable errors.
This is one of the best tools to help an online ministry stay organized. The program can be used to take notes and plan out projects.
Another nice feature is that you can sync notes across all your devices. And you can add audio, PDFs, images, scans, or any other important document to your notes.
I like Evernote because it makes it easy to search for and find everything I need. And because everything is saved directly to their cloud, I can rest assured that my information is safe and secure. It’s also nice that Evernote easily integrates with apps like Outlook, Gmail, Google Drive, or Microsoft Teams.
This is a great tool to help you stay on top of everything!
Calendly can make scheduling meetings or appointments easy for your online ministry. Whether you need to set up coaching sessions or classes, offer appointment times, or want to set up a meeting with fellow ministry workers, you can do it all with Calendly.
With Calendly, as soon as you set up your calendar, you can then share a link either via email or by directly embedding it on your site. Now, when someone wants to schedule a meeting with you, they can only pick the days and times you are available.
And once someone picks a date and time, Calendly will integrate the meeting into your calendar automatically!
Calendly integrates with up to 6 different calendars and works well with Gmail, Outlook, Salesforce, GoTo Meeting, Zapier, Teams, PayPal, and Google Analytics.
I love that with Calendly, I no longer need to send multiple emails back and forth to schedule anything. And with time zone detection and email reminders, I don’t have to worry about anyone missing a meeting.
Unsplash is a great website to find high-quality images that are also royalty-free! Plus, if you significantly modify them, you can even use the photos commercially.
These professional images make stunning backgrounds for documents, flyers, posters, websites, social media graphics, or anything else you may need.
It’s an inexpensive and fun way to help build your ministry!
Canva is the program I use for most of my social media graphics, including Pinterest pins. The program includes beautiful templates and thousands of stunning professional photos that can be used for graphics, printable PDFs, flyers, posters, and so much more.
With Canva, you can also add text to your graphics as well as fun elements, animations, filters, and more. Canva makes it easy to remove backgrounds or save transparent images. And if you create a Pinterest pin that you want to turn into a shareable image on Facebook, you can easily resize your image in Canva with just one click.
This app makes graphic design fun!
If you are looking for an eye-catching way to share the gospel on social media or spread the word about your ministry, Canva is the tool you need!

Vistaprint is the company that founded this neat graphic design service. 99designs connects you to professional graphic designers. This way, you can get professional help creating quality images and designs for logos, websites, apps, advertisements, merchandise, promotional materials, and so much more.
All you have to do is answer some questions to get connected with a designer who will get you what you need.
Or you can give them some general information to start with, and they will have designers send you samples. After viewing the samples, you can then choose a designer to work with.
Once the professionals at 99designs create the perfect design for you, you receive the files and the copyright for them.
This service is another excellent way to expand the reach of your ministry!
Creative Market is the perfect virtual marketplace to find what you need to enhance your designs. You can find beautiful graphics, fun fonts, handy templates, stunning photos, cool 3D images, helpful web themes, and so much more.

PsPrint is an online printing service. They can provide your ministry with business essentials as well as marketing and promotional materials. Their easy-to-use templates make it simple to design the perfect product for your specific ministry’s needs. You can use PsPrint to print business cards, booklets for an event, postcards to thank your donors, or any other physical product!
And since they also offer mailing services, design services, and custom printing, it’s an easy way to get the word out about your ministry!
Tailwind is a great tool to use to grow an online ministry. I use Tailwind to schedule and automatically post my Pinterest pins at the best times for my audience. And there is even a design service so I can create pins right in Tailwind.
It has been a great marketing tool to help build my online ministry.
I also really like the Tailwind Communities. This is where you can share any of your pins so that other people in the community can share them with their audience. And you can share some of their pins as well, which means you always have quality material to provide your audience.

An effective online ministry is one that consistently reaches people with God’s love and truth. But it can be hard to know how to reach people! You may be wondering, how can I grow my online ministry and reach more people?
The best way to reach more people is by creating an awesome lead magnet. A lead magnet is a freebie you giveaway in exchange for someone’s email address. You see these all the time on websites. An example would be: “Enter your email address, and I’ll send you 20 prayers you can pray over your teenager every day.” Lead magnets are a great way to get more people on your email list so you can begin building a relationship with them and sharing hope with them.
And quizzes make fantastic lead magnets!
Interact is the program I used to create my Superpower quiz, and I enjoyed it. With this web app, you can easily create a scored quiz, personality quiz, or assessment. And because there are over 800 pre-made templates, it’s easy to get started.
Everything can be edited to match your ministry’s needs. And Interact even allows you to incorporate branching logic with an easy-to-use drag-and-drop builder. Once you create your quiz, you can easily embed it into your website or promote it on social media.
Interact quizzes are GDPR compliant, compatible with all devices, and integrate with every major email and marketing automation system. And you can even use their analytics feature to track conversions.
This is a great way to grow your online ministry so you can offer hope to more people.
One of the most effective online ministry tools is a podcast. And podcasts need to not only offer good content but must also sound professional. Podcasts only engage one sense — sound, so the sound has to be of excellent quality. This can be the difference between people tuning in more often or tuning out. And that’s why I use the Rode Podcasting Mic.
It has broadcast quality recording and is a dynamic mic. This means it isn’t as sensitive to background noise. Plus, it has an internal pop filter to help minimize any audio distortions that may occur.
This is an easy-to-use plug-n-play mic that even has a headphone output so I can hear what is being recorded. This helps me know exactly how everything sounds right away so I can make any necessary adjustments.
I believe this is a must-have item for fellow podcasters as it is the best mic I have found for live recording.
I love Cast because it makes hosting, recording, editing, and publishing my podcast hassle-free.
Cast is like a one-stop shop because I can use the studio program to record guest interviews or solo episodes. Then I can use the editor program to drop in sound effects, audio, or even presets like dynamic compression. And then I can use the publisher feature to share my podcast once I am all done.
Cast has high-quality synced audio, live text chats, and show notes. And they even can help you make your podcast a success by offering recording tips!
Hosting, RSS feeds, and analytics of your podcast are included in every plan at no extra cost. And everything is saved to their cloud automatically.
This can give you the blessing of peace of mind because you never have to worry about losing anything you recorded.
Now that you know about all these awesome tools that can help improve your online ministry, you are better equipped to walk out your calling. God is using online ministries to change lives all around the world. There is a place for you in online ministry! It’s time to get started!
