If God asked you to walk away from your dream job and everything you’ve worked for, could you do it? That’s the question at the heart of today’s conversation with my friend Paula Faris — and her story will stop you in your tracks.
Paula opens up about the moment God got her attention and the brave decision to leave her journalism career at ABC News, Good Morning America Weekend, and The View. She shares what it looked like to untangle her identity from her work, the risks she took, and how she survived what she calls her “hell year.”
It’s raw, honest, and full of the kind of wisdom you only gain by letting God lead you into the unknown. You’re going to love this one.

When we ignore God and ignore that stirring and that restlessness in our spirit that we know is coming from Him, He will get our attention.
I think we can sense when something is off and God will let you know. He will go to great lengths to get your attention. I think he’s trying to get a lot of our attention at this moment right now. He can use any sort of crisis for His glory to redeem the moment. To redeem your life. To redeem my life.
Give yourself the permission if you feel a stirring, permission to branch out because your gifts and unique talents can translate to so many different capacities.
How do you say no to people without feeling guilty? (38:26)
