I’m proud to announce this month’s group of Women Worth Following – inspiring women you’ll want to get to know! Every month I feature nine awesome women who are changing the world. I can’t wait for you to check out these amazing women, and don’t forget to follow them too!
Brandy Dawson
Brandy Dawson is an aspiring author with her first manuscript well underway. Currently, she is reconstructing her website, which will include her blog, House of Eight and links to her upcoming Podcast. She is also a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner. She received a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing from Cumberland University and obtained a Master of Science degree from Austin Peay State University. Brandy believes in focusing on healing as a whole and finding joy through God’s grace. She is dedicated to meeting people where they are and working with them to reach their maximum functioning capacity- mentally, physically, and spiritually. She is a fierce advocate for those finding their voice and navigating through their journey to being made whole. She believes everyone has a story of Redemptive Grace, whether told or untold.
In 2019, she had a substantial fall ultimately leading her to face hardship head- on. She has been thriving in an extended season of waiting and wholeheartedly believes that God is leading and guiding her the entire way as she is journeying through her own story of healing while learning there is life after the fall. Brandy now serves as a Hope Hub Orchestrator, the Founder of Eighth & Grace. A Metanoia project in the works with a mission to humbly provide outreach to local displaced women and children. She is the daydream believer responsible for the idea behind a House & Table concept which has been inspired by design to operationally fund the collaborative Metanoia Project. Her heart is growing a community through empowerment. She desires to encourage, inspire change and create hope for a future for them to bloom where they are planted.
Maddie Fischer
Maddie Joy is a wife, writer (soon to be published author in fall 2024), speaker, and worship leader in St. Louis, MO. She is also an ambassador (writer) for the LO sister app by Sadie Roberston’s ministry, Live Original. Maddie’s passion is to point people to Jesus through sharing her journey of surrender. Her desire is to see people grow in knowledge of God’s word, boldness to live and proclaim it, and love for the One who it’s all about as she continues to follow His lead step by step.
Karrie Garcia
Karrie Garcia is a pastor, author, and CEO who shares her journey to inspire change in others. She founded Freedom Movement, a nonprofit addressing issues of brokenness and pain often unaddressed in traditional church environments. Karrie is also a certified trauma-informed story coach who uses her training in psychology to help individuals connect their minds with their bodies and with God. She is currently working towards her Training Certificate Level 3 at The Allender Center, a program in trauma-focused narrative therapy. Karrie’s authenticity and fearless approach to difficult topics makes her a relatable and empowering voice for those seeking freedom and healing. Her new book, Free & Fully Alive, guides readers through embracing their past and discovering a deeper connection with themselves, God, and others.
Denea Marable
Denea Marable is a writer and podcast host of The Faith Filled Mom Podcast. She is passionate about encouraging moms with Gods’ Truth and Word. Denea has battled anxiety, depression and addiction and is determined to uplift other moms who may be fighting similar battles. The Faith Filled Mom Podcast has episodes filled with relatable mom stories that will make you laugh and Bible based encouragement to help you feel empowered to grow in your relationship with God.
Audrey Meadows
Audrey Meadows is a Speech-Language Pathologist and currently owns her own private practice in Florence, Alabama. She began painting as a creative release from the world of speech therapy, but this hobby quickly turned into her passion. After watching women navigate the trenches of motherhood, she began painting pieces to represent the difficult and beautiful journey of life. Healing art is a creative way to promote coping, growth, healing, and validity.
Audrey is a believer, wife, and mama to three young children. She also hosts a podcast called MADE: Making All Daughter’s Equipped where she gives women a platform to tell their story. The passion behind her art is to meet each person where they are and provide a piece of artwork that speaks to their road to healing.
Solie Osorio
Solie Osorio is a wife, mama, and homemaker. Her passions are showing women how beautiful it can be to embrace our true feminine selves as young women, wives, and moms. She hopes to change the tide and see women excited about being who they were created to be, instead of seeing our womanhood as a drag, burden, or inconvenience. On her blog, you’ll find articles on women issues, motherhood, pregnancy, and femininity. It’s a place of encouragement for like-minded women, and a safe haven for those who are searching for identity and grappling with what it means to be a feminine women. Solie’s hope is to live her life as an example and inspiration to other woman, especially younger women.
Hanha Parham
Hanha Parham is an author, speaker, Bible teacher, and encourager absolutely crazy about Jesus and dedicated to helping others conquer fear and self-doubt so that they can confidently believe who God has called them to be. When she graduated college, she launched a public blog and dove head first into the world of content creation. She recently obtained her Master of Divinity from seminary school and continues to be involved in women’s events.
Christina Hobbs
Christina was born and raised in southern Mississippi and considers herself more of a city girl than a country girl. She went to college for psychology because her passion is finding ways to make a positive impact on improving one’s mental health. She is a Christian and her most important focus is spreading the good news of Jesus and sharing her faith. Her faith and background in the study of psychology works hand and hand and she believes to have found her calling in that. When she’s not working from home, she can be found at church, hanging out with her best girl friends, or spending time with her mom. She is really grateful to have the opportunity to meet other women who are trying to make a difference in their communities.
Rhea Williamson
Rhea Williamson is first a wife and a mother. Then God allowed her to be an author, social media influencer, and podcaster. She loves being a mother and keeping other mothers encouraged. Rhea is dedicated to helping moms deepen their relationship with Christ whether it’s through a reel, book, or speaking engagement. Many first-time mothers have thanked her for the transparency and encouragement in her first book Dear Mommy you’re not alone. She is the founder of the “She’s Not Perfect” mom small group which was inspired by her recent book Proverbs 31 she’s not perfect. Rhea loves to sing, sew, and play games with her man. And be prepared to dance if you’re around her. Rhea chooses joy every day because she knows the God she serves!
