I’m proud to announce this month’s group of Women Worth Following – inspiring women you’ll want to get to know! Every month I feature ten awesome women who are changing the world. I can’t wait for you to check out, and don’t forget to follow these incredible women!
Monique has a background in social service and children’s ministry. She has worked with a diverse array of under-served communities, both in her home town of Los Angeles, CA, and as a missionary in Cape Town, South Africa.
After advocating for Critical Race Theory (CRT) for more than two decades, Monique experienced a series of events that revealed the contradictions between CRT and the historic Christian worldview.
She founded the Center for Biblical Unity to lead respectful and Bible-centered conversations on race, justice, and unity. Monique earned her B.A. in Sociology from Biola University and is currently working on a M.A. in Theology.
Maya is a singer-songwriter, inspirational-soul artist and worship leader whose multi-faceted creativity revolves around healing, truth and love. She was raised in Baltimore, MD, where she began songwriting at age 6, and started singing in church around age 11.
Maya, who is equal parts analytical and artsy, graduated with a B.B.A. in marketing as the 2016 Valedictorian of Howard University’s School of Business before pursuing a career in music.
She released her first album in 2016, has worked as a full-time church staff worship leader, and currently has a new music project underway. She also “girl-bosses” (verb) as a project manager with GoLive.
Maya prizes being a safe space, a listening ear, and a wisdom-seeker. She is passionate about our need to fill up as we use our gifts in the world around us. That being so, you experience therapeutic, soul-filling inspiration when you hear her poetic, thought-provoking lyrics, which complement her unique sound and cadence.
Ana serves as a Wholeness Advocate & Creative Advisor. Ana has a great vantage point in the multi-faceted work she gets to do. In the spaces she occupies, Ana invites individuals to wholeness in biblical and practical ways along her miraculous and Christ-centered journey and community-centered servant leadership.
Creatively, she gets to work with those seeking recommendations for book covers and/or formatting designs, graphic/web design, bi-lingual editing services, copyrighting, and other resources available. Ana and her daughter currently reside in New Jersey.
As a writer and speaker, Marnie encourages women that freedom isn’t found in perfectly completed checklists, but in knowing God deeper and hearing Him louder.
Marnie is the curator for the Hear Him Louder Essay Series, a writer for The Joyful Life Magazine’s Devotion and Blog Contributor Teams, and a lifetime member of hope*writers.
A wife for 25 years and boy mama (16, 13, & 10), Marnie’s non-writing life revolves around taming the stinky, scraping off the sticky, and distributing boys to the places they go in suburban Cincinnati.
Her favorites are cheering for her boys from soccer sidelines, settling in for family movie night, and laughing with her friends. Loudly. With some cackling.
Sarah is a nationally known speaker, the host of The Complicated Heart Podcast, author of The Complicated Heart: Loving Even When It Hurts, and co-author of the bestselling book, Desperate: Hope for the Mom Who Needs to Breathe.
She loves to travel all over the country speaking at events and encouraging women to walk in freedom. She also has the privilege of sharing beautiful and meaningful products on QVC.
She makes her home in Lancaster County Pennsylvania with her woodworker husband, three spunky kiddos, and a naughty yellow lab named Memphis.

During the peak of her success she shifted her focus to leading outside of executive offices and boardrooms. Bethny’s passion is to help women find/strengthen their voice by focusing on authenticity, faith and purpose in Christ. She currently resides in Ohio with her two young children.
Lucrecia was lead to write and self-publish her first book, “Broken Narratives: Restoration in the Broken Pieces of Our Lives” and pursue an education/career in Social Work. Currently, she is completing her Masters in Social Work (graduating this May 2021!).
Lucrecia is not only a huge advocate for faith, mental health, and women with untreated childhood trauma, but also an Army veteran, wife, mother of two daughters, blogger, writer, sometimes speaker, and creator/founder of The Soul Food Collective™ Bridging Faith + Womanhood.
Most importantly, she is broken but beautifully restored, on a mission to help other women break free from life-altering cycles to become who God called them to be! She currently resides in Clarksville, Tennessee with her family.
Christa delivers what she hears from the Holy Spirit with humor, accuracy and powerful personal experiences. She is known for her passionate preaching and down to earth approachability, but what many people don’t know is that Christa is a student of Krav Maga, a home design enthusiast, committed coffee drinker, and lover of all things cozy!
Christa’s background includes graduating from Seattle Pacific University with a degree in Communication. She went on to Hillsong International Leadership College in Australia where she completed the Pastoral Ministry Program. She has planted and has been the Director of two Schools of Ministry and served as Associate Pastor at Garden Valley Church in Oregon, and Executive Pastor at Expression 58 in California.
She currently resides in the San Francisco Bay area and travels full time with her husband, Sean, ministering together throughout America & beyond.
Tara is a passionate and devoted social media influencer and stay at home mom raising the next generation of adventurous boys! Raised as a Christian, she coasted along in her faith until she tragically lost her husband in a car accident in 2008.
Suddenly alone and left as a single mother of two little boys, God led her through this painful journey, keeping his promise never to leave nor forsake her and brought out of the ashes of her grief, a beauty and zest for life she had never known before.
Out of a desire to help other women thrive in Christ and know His joy no matter what their circumstances were, she began a blog called Rise and Glory. She hopes to inspire others not to be conformed to this world, but to live out gospel truths and watch as Jesus radically impacts every area of their lives.
Tara has since remarried and lives with her husband and four boys who are her greatest and most precious ministry. When Tara isn’t with her family or blogging, you can find her in a DIY project or trying to convince her husband to teach her how to use power tools.
