In times of uncertainty, especially during election seasons, it can feel like the weight of the world is on our shoulders. Every four years, the stakes seem to rise, and stress levels follow suit. Between political ads designed to make us feel like everything is falling apart, grocery bills that seem to have skyrocketed, and the everyday challenges we all face, it’s no wonder we feel overwhelmed. But as women of God, we have a higher calling. We aren’t meant to wallow in fear or be consumed by anxiety. Instead, we can develop a strategy that keeps us strong, grounded, and moving forward.
When life feels uncertain, it’s crucial to look back at our personal history with God. I’ve been through seasons where I didn’t know how things would turn out. Anxiety overwhelmed me, but God always brought me through. I keep a reminder on my mirror that says, “I made it through,” because I partnered with Him, and He guided me every step of the way. Think about the times when you felt lost, yet God provided a way out. Write it down, reflect on it, and remind yourself that God has a proven track record of faithfulness. If He’s brought you through before, He’ll do it again.
It’s easy to get lost in “what-ifs” and let our minds wander into a future filled with worry. But we can’t let fear of what could happen ruin the blessings of today. Stay grounded by focusing on what you’re grateful for now. But also, be wise and make decisions that your future self will appreciate. Whether it’s putting aside some savings, moving your body, or learning a new skill, invest in yourself. These choices build a foundation for future success and peace. Women often fall into the trap of self-sabotage by not investing in themselves. Challenge yourself by developing skills that not only boost your confidence but also equip you for whatever the future holds.
We all have anxious thoughts, but not every thought is based on truth. Imagine putting your thoughts on trial. Ask yourself, “Do I have any evidence that this will happen?” If something negative does seem likely, make a plan to handle it. We are not powerless. We can prepare and act in ways that minimize damage. By examining our thoughts and not accepting them blindly, we regain control over our mindset and reduce unnecessary anxiety. Additionally, avoid known anxiety triggers. Whether it’s doomscrolling, watching too much news, or interacting with people who feed your fears, limiting your exposure to what you know will make things worse.
Navigating uncertainty isn’t about having all the answers. It’s about remembering that God is in control, making wise choices for the future, and keeping our minds focused on what’s true and helpful. We don’t have to be victims of anxiety or fear. By reflecting on our history with God, staying present, and putting our thoughts on trial, we can thrive no matter what the world throws at us.
Keep stepping up, showing up, and loving well because you can’t break a woman who gets her strength from God.
Let me tell you what I’m loving this week. Frownies Facial Patches are little craft paper triangles that you put on your forehead at night and when you wake up, your forehead is smooth and lovely. I put three on my forehead at night. I’m doing everything I can to fight aging and I’m really loving these.

“I want you to put your thoughts on trial. Now, we all have crazy thoughts. We all have thoughts of things falling apart in the future. You know, those what-ifs can drive us crazy. What we need to do is really examine those thoughts and not just assume every thought is true.” ~ 08:35
“If something negative is likely to happen, the smartest thing you can do, the most strategic thing you can do is make a plan to either stop it and take action or make a plan to mitigate the damage. We don’t have to be victims. We aren’t powerless.” ~ 09:36
