Do you ever feel like your brain is running on overdrive, absorbing too much information and leaving you exhausted rather than energized? In today’s fast-paced world, information overload is a common issue that affects our focus, mood, and even relationships. Just like junk food for the body, too much irrelevant or negative information can wear down your mind over time. But the good news? There’s a simple way to reclaim your mental space and find peace.
Here’s a 3-step formula to help you hit the reset button:
Your mind is like a sponge, absorbing everything you allow into it. Are you filling it with content that uplifts you or drags you down? Not all information is valuable, and it’s essential to be intentional about what you let in. Reflect on your social media feeds, the news you consume, and even the conversations you have. If they’re not adding value to your life, it’s time for a mental spring cleaning. Unfollow, mute, and curate your inputs to align with your goals and values.
Just as with your favorite dessert, moderation is key. Overloading your brain with information can lead to stress and distraction. Set boundaries on how much you consume, whether it’s emails, social media, or news. Establish specific times in your day for checking your favorite sites or apps, and stick to them. A handy trick is the “5-second rule”—when you catch yourself mindlessly scrolling, count down from five and consciously step away.
Just as your body needs nourishing food to stay healthy, your mind thrives on positive and uplifting content. Start your day with a healthy mental routine, like prayer, reflection, or a motivational podcast. Surround yourself with things that inspire and energize you. A great way to do this is by creating a “positivity playlist” of songs or podcasts that lift your spirits when your energy dips.
By following these three steps, you can avoid the exhaustion of information overload and feel lighter, clearer, and more focused. Reclaiming control over what you allow into your mind will lead to a more peaceful and empowered life, giving you the mental space to be fully present for the things that truly matter.
Now is the time to simplify your inputs and boost your mental well-being—one mindful choice at a time.

This week I share a beauty product and a TV series that I’m loving. The first is a Scalp Massager. Imagine a circle that you hold in your hand with little squishy points that you can use in the shower to wash your hair. It just feels lovely! You need a scalp massager like yesterday.
The second thing I share with you this week is season 3 of the most wonderful show in the world – Only Murders in the Building. It’s on Hulu and it’s amazing. Seasons and episodes are short. It’s a really good time and is well done. It’s just a fun, fun show.
